Most of my assignments involve location, location, location. Churches, Hotels, Client’s homes, and the outdoors, it really is diverse. Over the last year I have streamlined my whole lighting workflow. In the beginning it was lots of light and lots of power, in the form of studio lighting akin to Bowens or Profoto flash heads.
During the last 12 months after upgrading camera I started to use small, battery powered strobes, these are light, portable and very versatile. An added bonus of the speedlights that I use with my Nikon Professional camera system is the built in wireless technology (Nikon Creative Lighting system).
This system combined with other valuable tools has made my life as a wedding photographer so much easier, now no matter where I am in the UK I know that I have a light, and extremely effective system that just works.
Now I can offer specialist training,seminars, and workshops in the Nikon Creative Lighting System (Nikon CLS), other camera systems and wireless off camera flash. This type of photography (also know as “strobist” photography), is all about the location and lighting for that situation. As a proactive photographer I have also incorporated the use of natural light and the use of light reflecting and bounce. All this gives the location photography a broad understanding for lighting on location.
What I offer is – one to one – bespoke training, tailored to each persons needs and styles.
